Frequently Asked Questions

1.) For a private event, how long do you perform for ?
Our standard time frame is 5 hours.
(1 hour cocktail hour followed by a 4 hour reception)

2.) Our first dance isn't on your songlist, will you learn this special request for us?
We're happy to learn your first dance, however some people prefer the original artist's version
of their special song. We always have a CD player available to play the original artist's version of any song you request.

3.) What style of music do you play?
We play every popular style of music from the 1940's -today.

4.) How can we be sure that Dance Force won't be too loud?
We are experts at keeping the sound just right. During dinner we play a mix of standards, jazz, easy listening & soft rock at a volume that allows your guests to carry on a conversation.
After dinner we turn up the volume just enough to get the people dancing.
Dance Force brings a state of the art sound system to every gig that provides highest quality sound, even at low volumes.

5.) What time does the band arrive to set up prior to the function?
Our typical arrival time is 2 hours before the scheduled start time.
Although we arrive early, it only takes 45 minutes to set up.
We use this extra time to compensate for traffic and to run over the timeline with your caterer.

Laura, our lead vocalist, is also master of ceremonies. Laura will work with you during the entire reception to ensure a smooth flow of events. What is the difference between the combinations?

All our combinations are strong & will have your guests dancing all evening.
We offer these choices to accomodate client budget and to work along with stage space limitations.
Also, If you're having a small reception of only 50 guests or less, we recommend a smaller band but if you're having a reception of 100 guests or more, we recommend you go larger.
